How can you become a Volunteer?

Our active research programme requires a steady stream of volunteers willing to help by acting as a subject. The volunteers we are looking for require sometimes a very specific age range depends on the experiments. All experimental protocols have been approved by an independent Ethical Review Committee.

Experiments vary in duration from 1-3 hours, and may involved a range of non-invasive techniques such as EEG (electroencephalogram) test if you have epilepsy and EMG (electromyography) recording, magnetic brain stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and performance of instrumented tasks. All procedures are non-invasive and safe - most subjects find participating in experiments fun!

If you would like to volunteer as a subject please email to: d.susilaradeya@ncl.ac.uk.

Please visit the Institute of Neuroscience website for more details for different volunteering options. There are many ways to get involved http://www.ncl.ac.uk/ion/involved/volunteer/
